I find a large number of people reach out to me because they don’t even know where they want to begin. They aren’t sure what they want.
They KNOW they want MORE. But they aren’t sure what form that should take.
That’s actually a really common problem but there’s an easy first step to address the problem. I call it, The Empty Your Cup Solution.
Why do I call it that? Because the problem reminds me of a Zen parable:
One day, a student visits his teacher’s house to ask for some answers to his questions.
At one point, the teacher is re-filling his student’s teacup, but does not stop when the cup is full.
Tea overflows the cup and floods the table.
The student cries, “Stop! The cup is full!”
The teacher says, “Yes. Like this cup, you are already full. You come and ask for something but without room for what is offered. Before you receive more, you must empty your cup.”
In our journey to manifest more abundance in our life, one of the easiest ways to provide the universe a delivery method to us, is to start taking steps to become an entrepreneur.
But one of the first things that we need to do (and something that we should do over and over again) is to make sure there is room in our cup for what we are co-creating with the universe.
At the beginning, we need to make room for the IDEAS, and then we need some elbow room to shuffle all those ideas and pick the one we want to use as a GOAL.
Then, after that, over and over as we start manifesting more and more – we need to open up the space that requires.
The biggest THIEF of your manifesting efforts is also the SNEAKIEST. It’s CLUTTER!
I say that it’s sneaky because it’s so subtle and can get you in so many different ways without you even noticing that it’s happening…
Through personal space clutter — obviously, but what is less obvious and more sneaky — through your emotions, or through your time or health…
But the good news is that there are just as many ways to arrest that thief and stop him right in his tracks!!
Next time, I’m going to be sharing in a little more detail about this sneaky thief and a few simple ways to stop the negative impact it’s having on your manifestation efforts.
Until then, pay a little attention looking around you during your day. Where you sit. Where you work.
What are those spaces like? Pay special attention to how you FEEL in those spaces. Do you feel open and inviting? Or closed and overwhelmed?
We’re going to be clearing out anything that might be keeping you from forward on your journey to becoming (and becoming a more successful) abundant entrepreneur!

Very true if there is no room for clutter then the mind can absorb, but if clutter exists then there is no room for improvement and even if that improvement does rear its head, it is not as full as one would like as the clutter stops it
Exactly, Michael. Sneaky, sneaky clutter. 🙂
Oh my – are you peeking at my paperwork disaster piles? (grin)
I start and let myself get distracted by doing a more ‘enjoyable’ project (which can be anything) rather than clean up.
Thanks for the reminder to de-clutter.
I’m putting off bigger projects by stating “I have to do this clean up” but not doing it.
Disaster piles! LOL. It’s insidious isn’t it? Just remember, bite size chunks. Don’t stress, Virginia. And maybe re-frame from disaster piles to “treasure hunt piles.” You never know what they’re going to open up for you 😉
It all make sense Sabrina, great lesson to learn from. Thank you.
Great, Moira! Glad to know it’s resonating with you. 🙂
Thanks for the insights, I notice when I go to watch tv , which is very seldom , I find myself uncomfortable and will fix things around , I am always trying to declutter but just don’t look so.
